    Get PDF
The principle of the Liquids Mixture Control System By using PLC is to mix two or more types of liquids with different PH values, in order to acquire new PH value with correct composition, which to maintain product quality .These processes exist in beverage, drinkingwater, food, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, refinery indutries, also important for fish hatcheries, water conditioning and aquaculture, etc, moreover correct composition of PH value in our diet is important for our health, therefore for this project, volumetric of one type of liquid, can be determined its quantity of volume before entering into the Mixture tank and then, another liquid is entered automatically into this Mixture Tank, after that the mixing process will be done, which this system determined PH value automatically that macthing the PH value requirement as a complete product.Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with analogue input signal is used to control this Liquids Mixture Control system. This system consist of six tanks, with one mixturer motor and also five pumps are used to control the system via PLC. PH sensor is used to detect PH value of the mixture, which this signal is fed to analogue input PLC teminal, that to be used for comparing PH value required as a product. The user can select volume one type of liquid to be entered into Mixture Tank, by pressing select buttons on the control panel board. This project can be used for manufacturing industries base on liquids and also for fish hatcheries, water conditioning and aquaculture ,which have been proved by project analyzing and testing results

Adaptive dual threshold multi-class scheduling for packet switch.

    Get PDF
Multimedia applications such as video conferencing, VoIP and data streaming require specified QoS to guarantee their performance. Multi-class switch has been introduced to handle different QoS requirement. In this research, a new way of handling multi-class traffic is presented. The analysis is done on N × N switch with two traffic classes; high priority for delay sensitive cells (class 1) and low priority for loss sensitive cells (class 0). In order to avoid starvation problem and to improve total mean delay in loss sensitive class, a novel approach has been introduced in the scheduling technique. The controller in the scheduler will adjust the threshold value adaptively based on the mean queue length and traffic load condition. By adjusting these parameters adaptively the best possible mean delay and throughput for class 0 can be achieved without degrading the QoS requirement for class 1.The proposed method has been simulated to show the performance of adaptive threshold as compared to priority queue(PQ) and Weighted Fair Queue(WFQ) in term of total mean delay and throughput. The results show that the proposed architecture has achieved better performance as compared to PQ and WFQ

Adopting the quantile regression technique on cross sectional data of 73 countries, the results show that IFI has a positive impact on economic growth. However, the impact does not exist in countries where the economic development are too low or in highly developed countries

Cell drop threshold architecture for multi-class shared buffer with finite memory size

    Get PDF
Shared buffer is commonly used to utilize the buffer in the switch. In order to minimize the cell lost of high class traffic in multi-class switch, the threshold is set to drop the low class cells in the shared buffer. This will give more space to accommodate the high class traffic cells. In this paper, we analyse the performance of shared buffer with different threshold settings. The multi-class shared buffer architecture is developed for 16x16 ports switch, which is targeted for Xilinx FPGA implementation. The performance of the multi-class shared buffer switch is analysed in term of the achievable throughput as well as the drop probability. Based on the simulation with different threshold settings, it is observed that the optimum selection of cell drop threshold depends on the size of the shared buffer that triggers the RAM threshold

Perceived Aesthetics Visual Design Elements Of A Packaging Design: A Preliminary Study

    Get PDF
In this paper, an introduction to review of literatures on aesthetics that concern on the visual design elements. Several aspects are discussed: the visual design elements and the aesthetics values through product aesthetic evaluation. In a theoretical approach, qualitative method has been applied at this preliminary stage. Prior to previous studies, this paper implements the method of reviewing content analysis, interviews and actual survey and observations, whereas stimuli are in the consideration for future analysis. A set of survey items have been identified for evaluation purposes for future recordings. Referring to previous studies, it has evidently presented that packaging attributes and aesthetic design elements have a great influence towards the consumers. Identification of the visual design elements are incorporating best to ensemble the cultural values such as graphics and sizes, the shape, colors, illustration, logo and brand name, typography, pattern, decorations and other product facts. An evaluation towards aesthetic upon those elements resulting as a symbolic value inclusive of the packaging features such as shape and materials which have been found out to be informative (Becker, van Rompay, Schifferstein, & Galetzka, 2011). However, understanding between the theory and aesthetic judgment may progress to new findings in which are applicable in designing a packaging design prototype and would be seen as new design directions for SMEs food packaging in particularly in Malaysia. According to Desmet & Hekkert (2007), being an integrated discipline that requires aesthetic, marketing, ergonomic and engineering skills, which occur within type of multidisciplinary; it projects design research as a special subject. New concepts have been introduced in addition to adopting new concepts from other disciplines of design research in which may stimulate new design direction

Quality of Work Life (QWL) is a philosophy on employees' organizational life satisfaction. Retention of experienced and trained employees is a challenging task for all organizations, especially for banking organizations. This research paper aims at identifying underlying dimensions of QWL program that shape employees' retention strategy in Private Commercial Banks (PCBs) in Bangladesh. The study is mainly based on primary data obtained through a structured questionnaire on 200 employees working at PCBs. Independent and dependent variables on a five - point "Likert -Type Scale" specifies how strongly the respondents agree or disagree with statements. Several statistical tools and techniques such as descriptive analysis, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Zero Order Karl Pearson's correlation analysis and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) multiple regression analysis have been used to determine empirical findings and draw a conclusion. The findings of the study shows the effects which can impinge on employees' retention strategy with the dimensions (maintenance and supervisory) being particularly significant. The authority of PCBs in Bangladesh should address these dimensions to retain their experienced and trained employees
